The night does not rest
Darkness its deception
Diverts attention
Waits for our drowsiness

Night constantly overtaken
By the searing light of day
Yet the lords of this world
Choose to love the twilight

Blackness creates a vacuum
It cannot breathe
The lords of this moment
Cancel color with gray confusion

Darkness does not build up
It collapses, constantly
And the loss is repeated
And the cycle knows not how to cease

Daylight, ordained to defeat its opposite
Is an avenging angel
Appearing to be defeated
All the while prevailing unseen
