If a picture is worth a thousand words, what does the photo of the beaming PresBO greeting Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez tell us?

Tells me: Smiling jackals can’t be trusted.

It’s one thing to say PresBO didn’t bow to the Saudi leader, even if he did. It’s another to characterize the photo with Chavez as just another photo op and let it go. We all know a president or presidential candidate can have photos with people, especially at fund-raising events, who turn out to be the kind of people they’d really like to avoid. This cannot be said for the PresBO-Chavez photo. The beaming is almost sickening. In part, it’s due to my belief that PresBO wants to be the kind of “leader” Chavez is: nationalize everything to solidify his own power.

Smiling jackals can’t be trusted. Prove me wrong.
